:: Scribe Backup Rider Notes (pdf)
This simple matrix can be used as a backup for laptop or even paper scribing. The idea is if something goes amiss during a test you can pick up recording scores and comments based on the movement number of where you are in the test. Scores/comments can then be transferred to the official document when the situation returns to normal. A scenario might be if you're scoring on the laptop and there's an interruption in internet connection or the laptop freezes. Instead of scrambling to find the paper version of the test out of a large pile, you can start scribing on the matrix with little disruption to you or the judge. Click on the thumbnail to see a sample of how it has been used.
:: USDF Guide for Scribes includes thorough list of suggested abbreviations
:: USDF Glossary of Judging Terms is a lengthy list of terms but could come in very handy especially if you are relatively new to dressage. It can help you develop a good ear and confidence that you are capturing the correct terms in the judge's comments.
:: Fox Village eScribe Information one-pager for quick reference during the show.
